Data Deletion Instructions

instatools · Last updated 23 August 2026

You can ask for every piece of data instatools holds about you to be deleted. This page is the deletion route required by the Instagram Platform, and is the URL registered with Meta for this application.

What is held about you

Data is only stored for people who messaged or commented on the connected Instagram account. If you have never contacted it, nothing about you is stored. Where a record does exist it may contain:

  • your Instagram-scoped user ID (specific to this app);
  • your public username;
  • the message or comment text you sent;
  • timestamps and the result of any reply that was sent to you.

How to request deletion

Email princekishorejiji@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request", including:

  • the Instagram username you used to contact the account;
  • roughly when you contacted it, if you remember.

You may also send a direct message to the Instagram account itself asking for your data to be deleted. No proof of identity beyond the account you messaged from is required.

What happens next

  • The request is actioned within 30 days, usually sooner.
  • Your user record, message history, and event history are permanently erased.
  • Confirmation is sent once deletion is complete.
  • Deletion cannot recall messages already delivered to you.

Opting out instead

If you would rather keep your history but never be messaged again, ask to opt out. An opted-out person is never contacted again, even if they message the account in future. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
